Infantile hemangioma (IH), is the most common benign tumor in children, observed in 4-5% of infants and is characterized by early proliferation and subsequent spontaneous involution. Periocular IH may result in amblyopia, squintand severe disfigurement, all of which may needcustomized management. We observed 3 infants with periocular IH for whom thorough ophthalmic and systemic evaluation was performed. Oral propanolol was started at low dose (0.5 mg/kg/day) at first week followed by gradual increase to maximum dosage over 6 weeks(3mg/kg/day).Clinically, we observed remarkableregression emphasized bycolour attenuation and reduction in size of the tunour over a period of one year.We emphasize this modality to be an effective management for infants with this potentially disfiguring and functionally debilitating condition that is often cause for major concern in parents.
